Size & Fit
If you're not sure which size to pick, take a an existing necklace you already like the length of or use a piece of string and measure it. Everyone's neck is different but as a rough guide, shorter lengths (38 or 45cm) sit close to the collarbone, mid lengths (45-55cm) have more drop and our longest chain (60 cm) is a great mid length for people with wider necks. Care & Maintenance
Crafted from stainless steel with PVD gold plating for gold pieces, your House of Rey jewelry is made for real life. To keep it looking its best: wipe with a soft cloth after wearing, and avoid prolonged contact with harsh chemicals. For a deeper clean, use warm water and a drop of mild dish soap, then pat dry. Is this actually waterproof, or just water-resistant?
Genuinely waterproof. Every piece is stainless steel with an 18k gold PVD finish on gold styles, so it holds up through showers, sleep, swimming, and the gym without tarnishing, fading, or turning your skin green. Leave it on, that's the point.
What size should I get?
If you're not sure which size to pick, take a an existing necklace you already like the length of or use a piece of string and measure it. Will it tarnish or change colour over time?
No. Stainless steel doesn't rust or tarnish, and the 18k gold PVD coating on gold pieces is bonded at a molecular level, so it resists the fading and colour change that plated jewellery is prone to. Normal wear won't dull it.
How do I clean and store it?
Wipe it down with a soft cloth after wear if you want to keep it looking new, no special cleaner needed. Store it flat or hung so chains don't tangle. It doesn't need to come off for anything, so there's no real maintenance routine to follow. For more details have a look at our care guide.
Can I wear it every day without taking it off?
Yes, that's what it's built for. Shower, sleep, gym, everything, without switching it out or babying it.
How is this made, and how do you know it holds up?
Every piece is hand-finished in our London studio. Before any of it went up for sale, we wore it ourselves for over a year showers, gym sessions, holidays, sleep, all of it and handed pieces to friends who used it their way, to make sure it held up outside our own routine and not just in ours. Its been more than 3 years and our first pieces are still going strong.
